David Rosenblatt has been an IP attorney for over 30 years, handling all facets of IP, including litigation, licensing, preparation and prosecution, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, and IP-related antitrust issues.  Prior to joining Patent Platform Services, Dave served as the Licensing Vice President for Sound View Innovations, LLC, a position he held since 2014.  Dave started his legal career at Allegretti and Witcoff (currently Banner and Witcoff).  He then moved to AT&T Bell Labs, holding positions of increasing legal responsibility with both AT&T and Lucent Technologies.  Subsequently, he served as Chief IP Counsel for a publicly traded company prior to becoming Thomson Reuters’ Assistant General Counsel – Intellectual Property, where he had numerous responsibilities, including managing Thomson Reuters’ worldwide patent preparation and prosecution efforts.  Prior to working as an IP attorney, Dave worked as an engineer for four years.

Dave has handled licensing negotiations with both U.S. and non-U.S. companies.  Dave’s licensing efforts have generated revenues well into the nine-figure range.  Dave’s litigation efforts have helped support additional revenue generation that is also well into the nine-figure range.  Dave has served as a trial witness and has also been deposed multiple times, both as a 30(b)(1) and 30(b)(6) witness.  While Dave has recently focused on licensing and litigation, his patent prosecution efforts have been successful as well, having drafted and prosecuted claims leading to a $1.52 billion jury verdict.

A registered U.S. patent attorney, Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute (currently N.Y.U. Polytechnic School of Engineering), and a law degree cum laude from The John Marshall Law School (currently University of Illinois Chicago School of Law).
