John-Luc Bakker is a standards & licensing expert, creative thinker, problem solver and named inventor on 120+ US patents. He has a focus on protecting innovations, developing litigation quality IPR and supporting the licensing thereof. He has developed extensive experience in all aspects of the IP lifecycle from invention and capture through patent drafting. This included claim charting, directing prosecution, infringement and validity analysis, portfolio curation, etc. While at BlackBerry, John-Luc was involved in numerous successful patent licensing discussions, assertion efforts and litigation preparations.
 

John-Luc holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology. He was researcher, standards delegate, portfolio manager and director at Lucent Technologies, Telcordia Technologies and BlackBerry.
